Bateleur Bush Camp in the northern Kruger offers a quiet escape from the busy main camps.

Overview

Bateleur Bush Camp is southwest of Shingwedzi along the Red Rocks Road. The camp was built in the 1980s and has become a popular camp offering a quiet retreat from the often busy main camps. It is named after the Bateleur Eagle, Terathopius ecaudatus. There are two large dams nearby, Silvervis and Rooibosrant, so there is planty of game in the area.

Accommodation

The camp has four-bed and six-bed, fully equipped guest cottages, all of which have televisions. Conference facilities are available.

Activities

Morning and sunset drives, as well as morning and afternoon walks, these activities can be booked at the camp reception.
